02 OSLO NEW LANDMARK
CF Møller’s ‘ Nordic Light’ proposal was the unanimous winner of a competition to design a new landmark for Oslo’s central station. The project consists of a 110-metre structure, complete with a base, that will include 45,770 metres of floor space intended mainly for offices spread across four stacked blocks in telescopic form. Workspaces will have shared infrastructure, break rooms and informal meeting places to facilitate a flexible, mobile working life, while the building also features vertical atriums across multiple levels, and terraces with vegetation. Public areas are also planned along with a vantage point to provide views from what will become one of Norway’s tallest buildings.
