ORIGAMI PAPER
Portland-based company Ilovehandles has designed wrapping paper that can have a second life as origami figures.
Presents are typically ripped open by excited recipients but now, instead, they are being invited to carefully work their way into a gift. The paper can then be used again, avoiding it being put in the rubbish bin and sent to landfill, or be trimmed and folded into an origami dog, frog, crane, balloon, fish or iris.
It is hoped that future editions of Origami Wrap will be made from recycled paper, further heightening the sustainability credentials of this product.
