08 COPENHAGEN TOP OF THE CLASS
The New Islands Brygge School in the centre of the Danish capital is to be designed by C.F. Møller and constructed by MT Højgaard. It will become home to 784 pupils, with the main building covering around 10,000 square metres, and is described as connecting “the city’s intimate expanse with the natural setting of Amager Commons, creating an imaginative learning space with its fusion of nature and culture.” It is hoped that the school, which also features a sports hall and extensive roof top garden, will be completed ahead of the start of the academic year in August 2020.
