The New Is­lands Brygge School in the cen­tre of the Dan­ish cap­i­tal is to be de­signed by C.F. Møller and con­structed by MT Høj­gaard. It will be­come home to 784 pupils, with the main build­ing cov­er­ing around 10,000 square me­tres, and is de­scribed as con­nect­ing “the city’s in­ti­mate ex­panse with the nat­u­ral set­ting of Amager Com­mons, cre­at­ing an imag­i­na­tive learn­ing space with its fu­sion of na­ture and cul­ture.” It is hoped that the school, which also fea­tures a sports hall and ex­ten­sive roof top gar­den, will be com­pleted ahead of the start of the aca­demic year in Au­gust 2020.
