Dubai Design Week and Downtown Design brought brand-driven installations at The Dubai Mall and Alserkal Avenue
Once again Dubai Design Week had pulses races and imaginations in overdrive. With more than 120 companies participating and more than 230 events throughout Dubai Design District (d3) and the city, thousands of visitors took part in the region’s largest and most important design fair in the Middle East. Exhibitions and installations played a crucial part in brand participation throughout the fair. From the stands at Downtown Design, the commercial tenet of the fair, to Downtown Editions, its platform for bespoke iterations of new design classics, local and international brands collaborated with regional galleries and Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall to create memorable displays.
Designed by 4th year Interior Design students at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), the ‘ DePaso’ installation, sponsored by Cosentino, paid homage to the visual poetry of material surfaces.
