UK announces CaRe20 to support retail front-liners

The British Retail Consortium and retailTrust have collaborated to raise £10 million through the CaRe20 – (Caring for Retail during Covid-19) campaign. The money raised through CaRe20 will go into supporting the physical, financial and emotional wellbeing of retail workers, supporting service industries and their families. Meanwhile, the UK Government has also announced financial support towards “retained employees who cannot work with an 80% subsidy up to £2,500 a month.”
