Infusion Magazine - - LOOKING BACK - Stephen Day

It seemed like only yesterday we said goodbye to Gaiser & Ida, but it’s been 5 weeks since the last Groove On The Grass and to follow that they seriously needed to raise their game. How about a new site for starters, which was almost twice as big as the previous. The strong local line up, including Raxon and Analog Room’s Shermoon, opened up the dancefloor for the first of the two headline acts, as 3 cloaked figures stepped up on stage.

Although Italian trio Agents of Time have only been together for a year, their live show was amazing and full of tunes any producer would kill for. Just before 1am, a figure appeared at the front: his hair black, his eyes wide and his smile welcoming, Trentemøller was in the house ( well, grass). Getting the Danish DJ and producer to play in Dubai was a massive coup as he rarely DJs these days, and he delivered an eclectic set that at times challenged some of the audience – but that’s kind of the point, if we wanted to hear the Beatport Top 10 we would have gone elsewhere. This was Groove on the Grass doing what they do best.
