If you’re cu­ri­ous to learn more, Sole DXB, Dubai’s only street and ur­ban cul­ture fes­ti­val has brought out GRIT. GRACE. GOLD a short film ex­plor­ing the grow­ing b-boy scene of the Mid­dle East and Dubai.

The di­rec­tor and writer of the film Ami­rah Ta­jdin wanted to re­mind peo­ple that Dubai has more grit than gold , “us­ing this as my in­spired start­ing point, my team and I went on a jour­ney of shared mu­sic, stories and laughs with some of the in­di­vid­u­als who give their all to mak­ing a mark on nar­rat­ing their per­sonal lived ex­pe­ri­ences of the city through dance break­danc­ing in par­tic­u­lar.”

Of­fer­ing in­sight into the world of Dubai be­yond the glam­our and gold peo­ple of­ten as­so­ciate with it, doc­u­ment­ing the evo­lu­tion of the foun­da­tions of global hip-hop cul­ture and chart­ing its or­ganic evo­lu­tion in the Mid­dle East, we highly you rec­om­mend you check out GRIT.
