Pak-UAE trade to expand, says Dar
islamabad — The UAE Ambassador to Islamabad, Isa Abdullah Al Nuaimi met Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.
During the meeting, they discussed resolutions of the UAE-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission, held in Islamabad from 6-7th November 2013. They also discussed issues of mutual interest and topics related to the recommendations of the commission.
Ishaq Dar hailed the meetings of UAE Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He also commended the meetings of the UAE-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission, cochaired by Shaikh Abdullah and prime minister’s adviser on for- eign affairs Sartaj Aziz.
Ishaq Dar noted that the agenda of the Joint Commission would open up new avenues of trade and economic cooperation between the two sides, in the light of interest of UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Pakistan’s president and prime minister in the bilateral relations.
On the occasion, Al Nuaimi extended thanks to the Pakistan government for the hospitality accorded to the UAE delegation in Pakistan and appreciated organistation of the Joint Commission’s meetings. —
