Militants free 73 kidnapped tribesmen

Following military air strikes, militants on Sunday released 73 people out of 80 tribesmen kidnapped from Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency.

Official sources said army gunship helicopters targeted militants hideouts in Khyber Agency to force the release of kidnapped persons. Several militants were reported injured in the air strikes.

The sources said that the militants had kidnapped 80 people on Saturday on the charge of selling drugs from an opium and hashish selling grand fair held at the Haider Kandow area of Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency. — Online
