New wall at Musharraf farmhouse
A 12-foot security wall is being constructed outside former military ruler Gen. Pervez Musharraf’s Chak Shahzad farmhouse in Islamabad to ensure his safety.
Though it is not clear who will bear the cost of construction, heavy construction machinery of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was brought to the farmhouse earlier on Saturday.
Musharraf shifted to his farmhouse on March 31 after staying in the Armed Forces Institute of Technology (AFIC ) Rawalpindi close to the military headquarters for nearly three months. On that day he was indicted by a special court on charges of sedition after avoiding appearance since the hearing began in December last year.
