“I hope to play for India one day and it is my dream to stay in this course by practising as hard as possible,” said Aneesh who had the option of choosing between the scholarships on offer from various institutions including a leading English school.

“Choosing Bengaluru will give me a better exposure early in my dream of wearing India colours some day,” added Aneesh who has captured the limelight at the cub level cricket in the UAE the past two seasons.

“I am so grateful to my parents and family friends and coach for the guidance and encouragement I have got all these years after I stated playing at five.”

Recently, while on tour to the UK Aneesh showed exemplary qualities when he ‘walked’ after the umpire had declared him ‘not out’. He was appreciated by the team managements of both sides and the news soon spread around the cricket community.

Aneesh is currently being coached by the cricketing legend of Pakistan Mudassar Nazar at the ICC Cricket Academy and Shahzad Altaf at the Al Sama Cricket Club in Dubai, and is given further support by Irfan Sait, an ECB level – 3 coach and director of KIOC in Bangalore.

He clearly remembers his early childhood coach Jimmy Repsold, camp director at the e-sports who gave him the first basics and was later guided by Peter Lezarus, an ECB – Level 3 coach at the Elite Cricket Academy in Dubai.

The youngster has played in tournaments in Kenya, the UK and India and has won accolades for performance.
