Everest Sports to organise football clinic

dubai — Everest Sports has teamed up with legendary Indian footballer Gautam Sarkar to organise a youth football clinic in the UAE.

This interactiv­e camp is designed to educate, encourage and empower young aspiring footballer­s within the ages 7-15 while teaching them the proper skills and techniques from the legendary footballer.

Everest Sports headed by chief coach Shahzad Altaf, is coming up with their new football academy and the football clinic is one the major initiative­s towards it.

Sarkar who hails from West Bengal is an ex-national player having represente­d India in various national and internatio­nal tournament­s including Asian Games and Mardeka Cup. Sadiq from Nigera will be his assistant during his coaching.

He is one of the few players who has the feat of captaining two of the premier clubs in India, namely Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. He has a coaching experience of more than 23 years and is a certified coach from Fifa, IOC and AFC.

At present Sarkar is the Chief Technical Director of West Bengal State Football Academy in Kolkata, India.
