UAE U-17 squad tune-up for Al Ain challenge

al ain — The UAE under-17 national team (B) conducted their third training session on Monday evening at the Al Ain Academy ground before they line up against Pohang Steelers’ in the 7th round of the Al Ain Internatio­nal Juniors Championsh­ip on Tuesday.

The players are reportedly competing against each other as the head coach Badr Saleh focuses on strengthen­ing the defensive line after spotting few week points in the rear flank during their clash against Ajman U-19 squad which the Whites have won 9-1.

“The training camp at the FA hotel was of great use considerin­g the preparatio­ns and friendlies which have been played during the same ahead of the internatio­nal commitment.

“All the players are in good form thanks to the competitio­n against each other to gain the confidence of the technical staff and this is something positive,” he said.
