Al-futtaim Group committed to UAE sustainability strategy
dubai — The Al-Futtaim Group has fielded ten companies at this year’s Water Energy and Environment Exhibition and highlighting its commitment to the UAE’s sustainability strategy by offering a range of environmentally friendly and energy efficient products, services and solutions.
The group has booked a full hall and occupied approximately 10 per cent of the event’s total floor space for its second consecutive participation at the event, according to its top officials.
The group’s participating companies span the automotive, real estate, facilities management, electronics, engineering and technologies sectors and will exhibit a plethora of environmentally friendly and energy efficient products.
Al-Futtaim’s Electronics, Engineering and Technologies (EET) division will be out in full force showcasing its range of environmentally friendly and energy efficient products, services and solutions at this year’s Water Energy & Environment Exhibition (Wetex) to be held at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre starting tomorrow till April 16.
The companies participating under Al-Futtaim’s Electronics, Engineering and Technologies (EET) division umbrella include Al-Futtaim Engineering, Al-Futtaim Technologies, Al-Futtaim Electronics, Al-Futtaim Panatech, Techserve and Aftron.
“Wetex helps our business a lot and gives us multiple opportunities from B2B to B2C as customers can come and see new products,” acting managing director of the division S.S. Murali told Khaleej Times on the first day of the exhibition.
Murali mentioned that the company has got together a few interesting products and some of which have been there in the market but come with new range.
Visitors to the EET stand can see the latest products, services and solutions including the e-waste collection, energy saving lamps and eco-friendly copiers from Techserve, Al-Futtaim Panatech’s Panasonic Residential Batteries, Air Quality Control systems and Fujisawa SST Introduction Video, In- sinkerator Food Waste Disposer and Instant Hot Water Taps, LED TV, Sound Bar, Tablet PC, Water Dispenser, Window A/C and Split A/C (Indoor and outdoor unit) from Aftron. Al-Futtaim Electronics is also showcasing the latest VRF air conditioning from Toshiba apart from its range of Note books and storage devices.
Murali said that business going very well and its division’s order book has jumped to three-time year-on-year basis this year.
Al-Futtaim Technologies, one of the region’s leading systems integrators showcases its range of energy management solutions.“We are system integrator and do the complete turnkey solutions,” Al Futtaim Technologies general manager Venkata Raghavan N. told this scribe. Talking about its products, he said: “We use the best suited products to our clients.”
Another Al-Futtaim Group company, Emrill Energy Services, is showcasing its capability in energy savings. “We can save up to 40 per cent of high-rise buildings utility bills and our main business is en- ergy efficiency,” general manager Simon Roopchand said.The company provides bespoke solutions and on average can save 25 per cent on energy consumption, Roopchand claimed. In line with its environmental efforts, Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus is displaying the new hybrid Toyota Camry, as well as Toyota Prius, the world’s first commercial hybrid vehicle.
The 2014 Lexus hybrid models being displayed at the show include the LSh, GSh, RXh and CT, all featuring Lexus Hybrid Drive, a technology developed solely by Lexus for use in its range of luxury vehicles. “Toyota Motor Corporation is the world’s leader in hybrid technology and has sold globally more than six million Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicles to date which makes it the undeniable spearhead in environmental mobility” said Jon Williams, managing director of Al-Futtaim Motors.
