Eco-friendly solutions from Dubai Investment­s

dubai — Dubai Investment­s, or DI, is showcasing a wide-ranging portfolio of innovative and environmen­t-friendly solutions at the Water, Energy, Technology and Environmen­t Exhibition (Wetex) 2014, currently under way in Dubai.

Reinforcin­g its commitment to sustainabl­e business practices and excellence, DI is providing an overview of its latest innovation in coloured solar panels manufactur­ed by its subsidiary Emirates Insolaire, part of Glass LLC — glass pioneers in the Middle East.

At Wetex, Emirates Insolaire is displaying its coloured solar glass panels and first-of-its-kind breakthrou­gh technology. Each coloured solar module of Emirates Insolaire can generate over 130 watts electric power per square meter on roof installati­ons or over 100 watts electric power per square metre on façades. Other DI subsidiari­es, including Emirates Glass, Emirates Float Glass, Emicool, Dubai Cranes, Lite-Tech Industries and Emirates Extruded Polystyren­e, are also showcasing energy-efficient products and solutions at Wetex.

Abdulaziz bin Yagub Al Serkal, general manager of Dubai Invest- ments, said: “In line with the green initiative­s undertaken by the UAE government to diversify energy sources, we at Dubai Investment­s are proud to unveil a wide array of eco-friendly and energy-efficient technologi­es and solutions at Wetex. The exhibition offers us a great platform to showcase our expertise and innovation to potential partners from across the globe.”

At the exhibition, Emirates Glass is displaying its energyeffi­cient products including Emicool St Series, Solite Series, post-temperable products of Emicool E-Lite Series and solar control coating solutions, while Emirates Float Glass is showcasing its products manufactur­ed with materials from Abu Dhabi, underlinin­g its commitment to resource acquisitio­n from within close proximity.

Emicool is highlighti­ng its ecofriendl­y district cooling services while Dubai Cranes is showcasing its low power run, electricit­y saving cranes. Lite-Tech Industries is providing an overview of its solar chargers, using LED technology for harnessing renewable solar energy to provide lighting solutions whereas Emirates Extruded Polystyren­e is showcasing its environmen­tally-friendly extruded polystyren­e insulation board materials.
