Union National Bank wins UAE’s Best Customer Service Award at the 2015 Banker Middle East Industry Awards

Union national Bank (UNB) was the proud recipient of the Best Customer Service Award in the UAE at the Banker Middle East Industry Awards ceremony. The recognitio­n comes after the Bank received four product awards from Banker Middle East in March, winning Best Home Finance, Best Customer Service — Retail, Best SME Loan, and Best Deposit Scheme at the 2015 Banker Middle East Product Awards.

The award was received by Ahmed Kolthoum, SVP and Regional Head of Corporate Banking, Sharjah and Northern Emirates, on behalf of UNB at a glittering ceremony held at the Godolphin Ballroom, Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai on May 27.

Kolthoum commented: “This is a great honour for UNB. Winning the Banker Middle East Industry awards are a testament to the consistent and quality products being introduced by the bank, which are being appreciate­d and well accepted by customers in the market. The awards received by UNB are an affirmatio­n of the robust policies and principles adopted by the Bank and a reflection of our commitment to the highest quality standards, in line with the bank’s strategic objectives to deliver superior customer service.”

Every year through a combinatio­n of reader votes and in-depth analysis of financial statements, Banker Middle East assesses financial institutio­ns in the region to celebrate the best of the banking sector in the region. More than 200 nominees competed this year, mainly from the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan and Lebanon.
