INfocus Outsourcin­g industry to gather, discuss opportunit­ies in sector

DUBAI — Dubai Outsource Zone will bring together industry experts from across the UAE’s outsourcin­g industry to discuss ways to drive efficiency and create competitiv­e advantage through innovative outsourcin­g strategies.

The Outsourcin­g Outlook Forum will take place at Dubai’s Westin Hotel on June 15, and will look at best practices and the latest trends within the outsourcin­g, shared services and business process outsourcin­g sectors, or BPOs, with a particular focus on the banking, insurance, telecommun­ications and travel industries.

The forum will connect key industry players from across outsourcin­g, shared services and BPOs, including etisalat, Equinix, Ernst & Young, the Cloud Security Alliance, KPMG and Tanfeeth.

The global outsourcin­g industry continues to grow year-on-year, and is expected to reach $497 billion by 2019, according to a report by Frost and Sullivan and DOZ. According to the report, the UAE has the second-largest outsourcin­g industry in the Mena region, and Dubai comprises 90 per cent of outsourcin­g activity in the UAE.
