DUBAI — Dubai Outsource Zone will bring together industry experts from across the UAE’s outsourcing industry to discuss ways to drive efficiency and create competitive advantage through innovative outsourcing strategies.
The Outsourcing Outlook Forum will take place at Dubai’s Westin Hotel on June 15, and will look at best practices and the latest trends within the outsourcing, shared services and business process outsourcing sectors, or BPOs, with a particular focus on the banking, insurance, telecommunications and travel industries.
The forum will connect key industry players from across outsourcing, shared services and BPOs, including etisalat, Equinix, Ernst & Young, the Cloud Security Alliance, KPMG and Tanfeeth.
The global outsourcing industry continues to grow year-on-year, and is expected to reach $497 billion by 2019, according to a report by Frost and Sullivan and DOZ. According to the report, the UAE has the second-largest outsourcing industry in the Mena region, and Dubai comprises 90 per cent of outsourcing activity in the UAE.
Majed Al Suwaidi, managing director of Dubai Internet City and DOZ, said: “Over the last few years, we have seen a shift in the location of traditional hubs of outsourcing, shared services and BPOs away from markets such as China and India, and towards new centres, where connectivity, as well as access to facilities and talent are positioning the UAE as a key player in these sectors.” of outsourcing activity in UAE
