Trump vs Hillary looks more likely

-

Donald Trump is in it for the long haul, and those who love to hate him should learn to live with his rants. Let’s face it. He has a domestic audience. Condemnation only seems to make him stronger, and the billionaire developer is getting the crucial votes needed to take a shot at the presidency representing the Republican party. If Bernie Sanders falls along the way in the race for the Democratic nomination, Trump will face a worthy opponent in Hillary Clinton, the former first lady, in the big battle for the White House later this year. Hillary, on her part, shrugged off her poor form in New Hampshire, and appears to be on the comeback trail. Nevada could be the turnaround that could take her all the way to the top. Her confidence is back after her victory and this could be the turnaround for her campaign that has been dogged by controversies.

The South Carolina win for the loose-tongued Trump showed he has more support than his foes imagined he had. He has captured the imagination of a party without a president for eight long years. Even Republican Governor Nikki Haley, who threw her weight behind Marco Rubio, who came second in the primary, didn’t ruffle Trump this time.

Shock tactics have worked for the real estate moghul, and even Pope Francis’s attack — which was uncalled for — did not make a dent as he swept South Carolina. The tycoon has lashed out at immigrants, Muslims, women and Apple, all to ‘Make America great again’.

How he will do it, we don’t know, but Trump being Trump, who loves the sound of his own voice, he wants everyone to listen. He’s wants people to believe he’s the man who can do the job in Washington D.C. He spends his own money and wants to do it his way. His opponents have fallen by the wayside. Christie, Fiorina and now Bush. Cruz and Carson will lose steam any time, and Rubio, a conservative darling, doesn’t have the experience, and can be easily ruffled. If Hillary and Trump are the best America can get, so be it. One’s anti-establishment, the other’s an insider. This could be one contest that goes down to the wire.
