MoI official reviews police system
abu dhabi — Lieutenant-General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, reviewed the workflow and services provided by the Ajman Police General Headquarters (GHQ) across its various departments, as well as its achievements.
He also reviewed the results of the leadership’s achievements in 2015, including indicators related to various forensic fields, disturbing crimes, traffic indicators and mortality from traffic and run over accidents.
Lt.-General Al Sha’far also examined the strategic initiatives, electronic systems and the smart services such as happiness indicator and Smartphone services via the police application. During a visit to the Ajman Police GHQ, Lt.-General Al Sha’far was greeted by Brigadier Shaikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police; Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Alwan, Director-General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman; along with heads of departments at the Ajman Police GHQ.
He also inspected the traffic patrol drone developed to detect areas before raids and to search for the drowned and missing.
Brigadier Al Nuaimi briefed the attendees on the “Ajman Safe City” project, which transforms Ajman into a smart city managed through modern techniques and systems, with 450 high-tech cameras and analytical programmes connected to the operations room. “This project aims to promote security in the emirate, control crime and activate traffic control so as to achieve the strategic targets of making the UAE one of the best countries in the world in terms of safety and security,” he stressed.
