Lulu launches unique campaign to save water

abu dhabi — On the occasion of World Save Water day, Lulu launched a very unique reward campaign to spread awareness about the importance of water conservati­on. The “Save water & win cash” project was jointly launched by Lulu and Abu Dhabi Distributi­on Company at Khalidiyah Mall in Abu Dhabi.

As per the details given to the media during the launch function, this campaign will run for four months and the winner will be decided as per the saving he/she has made in the ADDC bills for the next three month. The person who reduces the maximum water units in the next three months will be rewarded with Dh50,000 followed by two second prize winners who will get Dh25,000 each and 50 consolatio­n prizes of Dh5,000 each.

Speaking on

the

occasion Abubaker TP, the regional director of Lulu group said “lulu has always strived to make their CSR campaigns very effective and innovative. We noticed that there is a lot of awareness about “saving water” but still many of us don’t follow the practice at our homes. Through this campaign we wish to reward the winners which is a good incentive for all of us to try hard to save water.”

During the launch function more than 1,000 water conserving devices were also distribute­d free of coast which can be easily fitted on taps or showers to reduce wastage.

Humaid Ali Humaid Al Shamsi, sales manager of ADDC, who inaugurate­d the campaign also spoke highly if this innovative reward programmes and urged all Abu Dhabi residents to take up this challenge and help in conserving water.
