Cap, Filipino priest, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubai: Although St. Mary’s Catholic Church cannot issue any official statement as we haven’t received any direct communication yet from the Vatican, for me, personally, this is really good news and a welcome development. I personally would like to express my gratitude to the UAE leaders for allowing us (Christians) to freely express and practise our faith here in the UAE. It is also good to note that the highest leaders of the Catholic Church and the UAE government are talking about tolerance, peaceful coexistence, peace and stability in the world.

Also, he is a true statesman to invite the Pope to come to his country.
