LEADERS OFFER CONDOLENCES
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday offered condolences in Doha to His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and his father Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, on the death of Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. —
doha — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday offered condolences to His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, and his father Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, on the death of Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.
They headed a high-level delegation comprising Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, Shaikhs and senior officials, to Al Wajba Palace. Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid conveyed condolences from the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Shaikh Tamim and Shaikh Hamad.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed also offered condolences to the sons of Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad and other family members.
Referring to the good deeds and traits of the late Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad, they cited his service to his country as well as his cooperation with other Gulf leaders to establish the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and bolster its progress. The Qatari leaders thanked the UAE leaders for their sympathies. —Wam
