‘Double efforts to keep pace with progress’

abu dhabi — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has said the UAE, under the leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is working firmly with determinat­ion and consistenc­y in achieving the future national vision and aspiration­s of its people to further strengthen its leadership role in various fields.

“We live at a time where we are witnessing tremendous changes and challenges that deem it necessary to double our efforts and continue to work diligently to keep up with the pace of developmen­t and the furtheranc­e of our competitiv­eness in the field of leadership and excellence,” said Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

He made the announceme­nt during his participat­ion at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, (Adnoc) Forum, where more than 1,100 employees were present.

“In order to achieve our goals, there is no alternativ­e other than to look ahead with confidence and optimism to the future, relying on the legacy of our fathers and grandfathe­rs, their giving, dedication and sincerity.”

and is required to play a greater role in the future to be the best company in the world, expressing confidence that Adnoc will be able to evolve and adapt to keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in the energy sector.

The event was attended by senior management and a number of young employees, where they discussed the modernisat­ion and developmen­t efforts taking place in Adnoc over the past eight months.

Dr Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of the Adnoc Group, said: “The participat­ion of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed in the forum is a great honour as this move reflects his interest, follow-up and support for Adnoc and the company’s efforts to strengthen its standing among world-class energy companies, which encourages Adnoc to double its work and efforts to develop and improve efficiency.”

The minister added that the group’s efforts have focused on essential pillars, including the developmen­t and empowermen­t of human resources, improving performanc­e, and the developmen­t of operationa­l efficiency so as to achieve the strategic priorities of improving economic returns and enhancing the value of refining and petrochemi­cal operations.

He pointed out that efforts are now focused on the developmen­t of frameworks, policies and structures capable of achieving these goals, which in turn, he added, will achieve greater prosperity and growth for the nation. — Wam
