Retailers gear up for Recon Mena 2016
dubai — The Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) is gearing up for Recon Mena 2016; which will take place on Sunday at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in DIFC.
Recon Mena 2016 is themed ‘The Customer and Innovation’; keeping in line with the shopping centre and retail industry, which are continuously changing and evolving, driven by a new, dynamic, global transformation providing service, connectivity and convenience to customers. Relationships among shopping centres, retailers, service providers and customers are expected to include the physical store and the digital sphere to create a seamless integration of experiences.
This year Recon Mena also offers two very notable keynote speakers at the conference. Dr. Tommy Weir, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the UAE, is a renowned speaker, advisor, author and growth specialist who specifically coaches CEO’s on how to grow against the odds. He is also editor-in-chief of the recently launched Emerging Markets Business Review. He will be highlighting the retail industry in the Mena region, as well as the future of retail by understanding the regional landscape.
The second speaker, Dr. Parag Khanna, is an international relations expert and best-selling author. Khanna will speak on the growing significance and importance of the Mena region, the importance of infrastructure, the future of the country’s borders globally, and the rise of trade in the 21st century.
