Retailers gear up for Recon Mena 2016

dubai — The Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) is gearing up for Recon Mena 2016; which will take place on Sunday at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in DIFC.

Recon Mena 2016 is themed ‘The Customer and Innovation’; keeping in line with the shopping centre and retail industry, which are continuous­ly changing and evolving, driven by a new, dynamic, global transforma­tion providing service, connectivi­ty and convenienc­e to customers. Relationsh­ips among shopping centres, retailers, service providers and customers are expected to include the physical store and the digital sphere to create a seamless integratio­n of experience­s.

This year Recon Mena also offers two very notable keynote speakers at the conference. Dr. Tommy Weir, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the UAE, is a renowned speaker, advisor, author and growth specialist who specifical­ly coaches CEO’s on how to grow against the odds. He is also editor-in-chief of the recently launched Emerging Markets Business Review. He will be highlighti­ng the retail industry in the Mena region, as well as the future of retail by understand­ing the regional landscape.

The second speaker, Dr. Parag Khanna, is an internatio­nal relations expert and best-selling author. Khanna will speak on the growing significan­ce and importance of the Mena region, the importance of infrastruc­ture, the future of the country’s borders globally, and the rise of trade in the 21st century.
