Global Village continues to set the bar higher
Today marks the 21st season of Global Village — the region’s first multicultural festival destination. Little else has shaped Dubai’s entertainment and cultural landscape than Global Village —an annual cultural, entertainment, family and shopping venue for nationals, residents and tourists alike. For many, the destination has become a get-away, where they can go to check out the latest trends and attitudes in shopping and entertainment. From country pavilions to the sheer range of products on dispaly, the Village offers a one-of-a-kind experience. With more than 75 countries across 30 pavilions, including the new Algeria pavilion, the Far East pavilion (the Philippines, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia), as well as the East Europe pavilion (Serbia, Romania, and Ukraine) participating this year in Global Village, the fun quotient just keeps getting better. The festival will be on from November 1, 2016, to April 8, 2017.
As the weather gets better and evenings tend to be cooler — Global Village offers an appropriate time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Dubai. The festival is expected to provide a great stage for family-friendly activities — from children’s attractions, concerts and fireworks to boutiques and bulging market stalls from various countries. With its eclectic food scene including food courts, chic restaurants and snack bars, the range and quality of food at the Village is unparalleled. From Arabic to Mediterranean cuisine and everything in between, you have it all. As Ahmad Hussain bin Essa, CEO of Global Village, noted, “With an internationally recognised name that has reached all parts of the world, Global Village is identified as one of the most important attractions in Dubai.” During the last 21 years Dubai has undergone a tremendous transformation with delivery at its nucleus. The bar for efficiency in Dubai has been set very high. Global Village accentuates that appeal — with its brand value, public appeal, celebrity icons, and interactive shopping.
