-

abu dhabi — The Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court has launched #The_UAE_Remembers campaign in the run up to the UAE’s Commemoration Day, marked annually on November 30.

#The_UAE_Remembers enables the UAE’s community to show respect and gratitude to those members of UAE society who have made the ultimate sacrifice and given their lives for the safety and security of the nation. It is also an opportunity for the UAE’s communities to show their support and stand with the country’s leadership in its efforts to provide a safe, secure and tolerant environment for all of those who call the nation their home.

The campaign rests on four main pillars — the pride shared by all of the UAE in the sacrifices made by the country’s heroes, immortalising the memory of those who gave their lives for the nation; gratitude for the cohesion and unity that characterise the UAE, and marking Commemoration Day itself as an annual event in the calendar and a dedicated occasion to show respect through remembrance.

#The_UAE_Remembers campaign follows the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to honour the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes; and reflects the respect and appreciation that His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, holds for the heroes’ families.
