Dh1m legal consultation fund launched for the needy
DUBAI — The Emirates Association for Lawyers & Legal (EALL) has announced the launch of a Dh1 million legal consultation endowment for needy individuals.
It has been launched in cooperation with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC). Needy individuals can contact the EALL directly to use this endowment.
The move is in line with the declaration of 2017 as the Year of Giving by the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and the Global Vision for Endowment launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Accordingly, the EALL will be granted the Dubai Endowment Sign by the MBRGCEC. This sign demonstrates the company’s contribution to the country’s vision and gives privilege to the private sector in procurement with Government of Dubai as per the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Zayed Alshamsi, Chairman of EALL, said: “Innovation endowment is an impactful way for sustainable giving. As per the vision of the Year of Giving, members of EALL will provide free consultation for needy individuals. This endowment is a community service that we are happy to provide. We hope that other NGOs as well as private companies will do the same.”
Dr. Hamad Al Hammady, Secretary-General of the MBRGCEC, said: “The Innovative endowment ... has opened a wide door to the development of communities. Thus, we are keen to search for social needs that can be supported by endowment. We hope the endowment will be a motivation for other NGOs to participate and launch other innovative endowments.” reporters@khaleejtimes.com
