England U-19 edge past India

India’s Under-19 team went down to England by 23 runs in the opening game of the five-match youth one-day interntaional (ODI) series at the Wankhede Stadium here on Monday.

Chasing 257, opener Himangshu Rana’s (101) brilliant century went in vain as the Indian innings folded in the 43rd over for 233 runs. England were off to a pathetic start losing three wickets with only 13 runs on the board.
