No drones, HK spectators urged
Spectators at Sunday’s Hong Kong marathon have been urged not to put runners in danger by flying drones at one of the city’s biggest sporting events.
Three people were arrested at the Hong Kong Formula E race in October for allegedly operating drones and marathon organisers are keen to avoid a repeat. With thousands expected to line the 42 kilometre (26 mile) route, bosses appealed to people not to bring drones. “We ask people not to do it because it’s really dangerous for the runners,” said William Ko. —
