Justice is done

It was corruption, not a defector, who dashed the hopes of a chief ministerial aspirant in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The rot runs deep in Indian politics where families and film idols rule. Sycophancy is a natural trait. Politicians failed the people of Tamil Nadu, but the country’s judiciary came to the rescue in their darkest hour. Democracy can be a great leveller.
