Australian players left embarrassed at airport

- KT Report

dubai — There were embarrassing scenes at the Mumbai International Airport on Monday night when the Australian cricket team arrived for their high profile four-Test series against the home team.

The Australian team, led by star batsman Steve Smith, arrived from Dubai where they had a training camp. But the players got a massive shock when they found no help from BCCI to load their baggage.

Normally, it’s the duty of the host team’s cricket board to hire porters to load the baggage of the visiting team onto a vehicle. The Australian players soon began to board their own luggage on a vehicle. The cash-rich Indian cricket board, known for their hospitality, certainly failed miserably on this occasion as an international cricket team deserve at least the basic facilities. Australia will play four Test matches in India. The first Test starts in Pune on February 23. They suffered a 4-0 whitewash last time they played in India in 2013.
