Air India flies with all-women crew
abu dhabi — India’s national carrier is flying high and how! Celebrating womanhood, Air India and Air India Express on Wednesday operated five flights from India to the UAE with an all women crew.
At the Abu Dhabi International Airport, check-in was done by an all women staff on the International Women’s Day on Wednesday.
And the staff was jubilant as they celebrated their success.
One staffer, Shaiby, said: “Women and men around the world supporting Women’s Day is wonderful.”
Another staff, Agy, said: “What better way to celebrate Women’s Day then to shine light on the ladies who have contributed to society with their talent and success.”
Axeena was forthcoming as she said: “A woman can perform all the duties of a man but a man can’t do all that a woman can do.”
Lavena was candid and said: “We feel appreciated and acknowledged for our contribution.”
Meanwhile, Air India has said to have become the first airline to fly around the world with an allfemale crew. “AirIndia creates world record — all-women crew around the world,” the airline said in a statement on Facebook.
Air India has applied for a Guinness World Record and Limca Record to mark the occasion.
