I can’t believe I won, but am very glad that I did. Now I can bring my family here!” Francis Xavier Arippattuparambil Cleetus, winner of Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion

— Early Tuesday morning, local resident Francis Xavier Arippattuparambil Cleetus received a pleasant surprise: His lucky ticket number 3,133 won him the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion.

Cleetus — a boat captain at the Sharjah Sea Port — is a regular participant in the millennium millionaire promotion and couldn’t believe he won a $1 million dollars. The 46-year-old said: “I’m very glad that I won! Now I can bring my family here!” he said.

Following the draw, two winners were announced in the Finest Surprise Promotion.

The lucky winner to take home the stylish BMW X6 50i M Sport (space grey metallic) is Rahul Hazra, a Dubai-based Indian national, who is now looking forward to have his first drive in his brand new car. Hazra, a regular buyer of finest surprise tickets, purchased his winning ticket number 0189 in series number 1,648 on his way to Poland, where the news of his win caught him. “It’s a great feeling to win a car I like!” he said.

Maximilian Dsouza, an Indian expat from Dubai who purchased the ticket under his son’s name, has become a winner of a Ducati Hypermotard 939 (red) in series number 300 with ticket number 0859. Dsouza, a 34-year-old business travel consultant from Dnata, had purchased his winning ticket online.
