Cabinet okays changes in federal entities

abu dhabi — The UAE Cabinet approved changes in a number of boards of directors across different federal entities.

The cabinet approved the reappointm­ent of the members of the Emirates Investment Authority Board headed by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidenti­al Affairs; and the membership of Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, as Vice-Chairman; as well as Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Ahmed bin Byat, Eissa Mohamed Al Suwaidi, and Kaltham Hamad Al Ghafli, in addition to the membership of Hareb Masood Al Darmaki, Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Mohammed Hamad Al Muhairi, as new members.

Al Etihad Export Credit

The cabinet also approved the formation of the board of directors of the Al Etihad Export Credit Company under the chairmansh­ip of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance; and the membership of Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy.

The board of directors also includes the undersecre­tary of the Department of Economic Developmen­t in Abu Dhabi, and Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Dr. Abdulrahma­n Mohammed Ali Al Shayeb, Saeed Mohammed Al Awadhi, Yousif Abdullah Al Awadi, Medeya Salem Al Roum, Saif Mohammed Al Shehhi and Abdullah Mohammed Al Yousif.

Expo 2020

The cabinet also approved the formation of an advisory committee on the UAE pavilion at the Expo 2020 under the chairmansh­ip of Dr Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the National Media Council; and the membership of Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Abdulrahma­n bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n; Shamma bint Sohail Faris AlMazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs; Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qassimi, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Mona Al Marri, Zaki Nusseibeh, Helal Al Marri, Mansour Al Mansouri, in addition to the representa­tive of the Ministry of Presidenti­al Affairs and the representa­tive of the Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation.

The committee will decide on the functions and activities at the UAE pavilion reflecting the vision and strategic directions of the UAE.

Zayed University

The cabinet also approved the restructur­ing of the Zayed University board of directors under the chairmansh­ip of Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance and President of the University; Riyad Al Mubarak, and Sami Dha’en Al Qamzi, Ahmed bin Byat, Ali Rashid Qanas Al Ketbi, Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi and Ali bin Hamooda Al Dhaheri. — Wam
