Quillon now in the UAE

-

dubai — Dubai-based hospitality marketing veteran Gaurav Sinha announced his new venture into the development advisory and hospitality management space.

“The past few years have brought immense shake-ups and formative change within almost every facet of the hospitality sector — whether it’s the countless mergers and acquisitions in the OTA ecosystem or the constant consolidation amongst the big brands. This is not the hospitality industry we grew up in. Why then should the archaic hospitality management and development model stay the same?” he said.

Sinha founded Insignia Worldwide Group 14 years ago, a Dubai-based hospitality-focused strategic brand, design and communications consultancy working with nearly 200 hotels across 20 countries. He has seen firsthand the hurdles faced by firsttime developers and hoteliers. Asset owners, who have been stymied by copy-and-paste development plans and multi-decade hospitality management agreements, are now looking for more agility when it comes to selecting the right partner.

“The most successful tech companies of today have moved to more SaaS-based models, where the client can cherry-pick exactly the services they need and pay for them monthly — no more, no less. I fundamentally believe that hospitality development, and the subsequent hospitality management, should not be any different,” Sinha affirms.

This disruptive MaaS (management-as-a-service) model aims to empower the asset owner, not simply handcuff him or her to a typical old-school management contract. “Quillon’s expertise and bespoke support services helps lead asset owners in that journey with the much needed agility that is required to generate critical demand and drive optimum value for properties and developments.” Quillon Hospitality’s launch coincided with the recent 13th annual Arabian Hotel Investment Conference in Dubai.
