New paid parking zones in Sharjah from today

sharjah — The Sharjah Municipality has introduced new paid parking zones in streets in Al Umm Al Tarafa area to ensure easy availability of parking spaces.

The municipality announced that the parking fees will be imposed in areas including Abdul Rahman Abn Awf street, Khalil Mutran street and Street No 2, effective from today.

Officials at the municipality’s public parking department said that paid parking machines have already been installed in the area for easy access. He added that the project will ensure parking space availability for residents, visitors and shoppers and minimise the misuse of parking lots near residential and commercial areas.
