sharjah — The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Sharjah has completed maintenance work on a number of key roads, said a top official.
Suleiman Al Hajiri, directorgeneral of RTA Sharjah for roads affairs, said the school holiday was a good opportunity to finish necessary road works, mainly on the Sheikh Rashid Bin Saqr Al Qasimi Road.
“The maintenance works of the major road, extending between Dasman and Al Abar areas, cost Dh1.34 million,” he said. “The development works have significantly enhanced traffic flow here.”
The authority opened two roundabouts in April, leading to the Uod Rakan Bridge opposite the industrial and Al Noof areas, after completing maintenance and development works at Dh647,000, he added.
