Electric Way opens regional HQ in Dubai

dubai — Electric Way, a leading provider of power cables and constructi­on wires, has inaugurate­d its regional headquarte­rs at National Industries Park.

The new facility extends over 100,000 sqft, and involves investment of Dh20 million. The warehouse will house over 7,000 products, making it one of the largest warehouses and center for electrical equipment in the UAE. The inaugurati­on of the facility was attended by Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO of Jebel Ali Free Zone; Mohamed Meeran, chairman of Electric Way; Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group; Andrew Shaw, managing director of Ducab; and Atheeqe Ansari, CEO of Electric Way.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, group chairman and CEO of DP World and chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporatio­n, said in a statement that by joining the ranks of pioneering local and internatio­nal companies at the National Industries Park, Electric Way adds value to the diversity of investment in it helping to meet the demands of the local market in the electrical material and solutions sector.

Bin Sulayem commended Electric Way for its choice of the National Industries Park for its new premises, highlighti­ng the excellent reputation the company enjoys locally and regionally as the UAE prepares for Expo 2020. He also noted the first class services they offer to other companies in the Park. Ansari said that the inaugurati­on marks a new stage in the company’s pioneering position in this sector, allowing Electric Way to offer its services to a wider base of firms in the region.

He added that the company’s investment in the new premises comes in line with preparatio­ns to meet the increasing demand on over 7,000 products the company sources, especially with the worldclass events the region is preparing for mega events, such as Expo 2020 and the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
