Admaja win UAE Open badminton title
dubai — Imam Adi Kusuma Admaja won the men’s singles title in the India Club UAE Open badminton tournament, a Press release said.
In a thrilling battle in the final match, Admaja overcame the challenge of Dea Adi Rangga 1321, 22-20, 21-05. It’s the third consecutive win for Admaja in the men’s singles at India Club UAE Open Badminton Tournament.
Admaja, a Dubai-based Indonesian, was a silver medalist in the 2009 Junior MCB Open. He was also the runner-up in Asia Junior Sport event in Tokyo.
A former top 10 junior player in Indonesia, he had previously won the India Club UAE Open Badminton Tournament in 2015 and 2016.
The ladies singles title was won by Tanisha Crasto who beat Negin Amiripour 21-9, 21-19 in the final. Ketan Chahal and Jaffer Ebrahim took the top honours in the men’s doubles as they beat Akbar Basri and Dea Adi Rangga 21-12, 1721, 21-15 in the final.
In the ladies doubles final, Febriani Endar Kusumawati and Dilisuci Desuari Sela beat Simona Pilgaard and Sindia Pilgaard 21-11, 21-11. Ketan Chahal and Tanisha Crasto took the mixed doubles title with a 21-18, 24-26, 21-18 win over Dea Adi Rangga and Febriani Endar Kusumawati.
