Sharjah square gets a facelift to boost traffic
sharjah — In a bid to boost traffic flow, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Sharjah, has developed the arterial Ahmed bin Abdulrahman bin Hadeed square spending Dh45 million.
Yusuf Saleh Al Suwaihi, chairman of RTA, said that the square that opened on Monday will accommodate more vehicles in all directions. “The old roundabout was turned into an intersection controlled by traffic lights in the four directions connecting the Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Al Kuwait, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi Roads.
