Team Falcons win Division B title
dubai — Team Falcons defeated Team Fanatics by 18 runs to emerge Division ‘B’ winners in the first Finesse Indoor Cricket League at the Insportz Club.
The tournament which saw a total of 52 teams compete in three division, was sponsored by Finesse.
Batting first Falcons scored 74 runs in their allotted 16 over.
First pair of Karan Singh (17) and Anshu Gopal (3) scored 20 runs in the allotted four overs. The second pair of Fahad Merchant (8) & Deep Kundwani (5) struggled to score 13 runs. Manish Kishore (11) and Bhaskaran Balasubramanian (14) picked up the rhythm by scoring 25 runs while Hari Haran (5) and Rahul Chatwani (11) added 16 runs in the last four over.
In reply, Team Fanatics’ first pair Sethuraj Karat (14) and Syam Chandrabhanu (15) batted sensibly taking advantage of every opportunity to score 29 runs. The second pair of Ayaan Ali (10) and Sanal Mathew (3) scored 13 runs. Veerapandian Veera (-17) & Mahesh Kizhur (13) could not do much and struggled to gain the ground scoring minus 4 runs. The last pair Siddharth Puthran (0) & Kunal Lachchani (18) tried their best but fell short of 18 runs to the victory. Haran (3 wickets for -8 runs), Fahad (2 wickets for 4) and Rahul (2 wickets for 5 runs) played an important role in restricting Fanatics. In Division ‘B’ Plate Finals, Team Icons (82) beat Team Hard Hitters -1 (81) by 1 run. In ‘C’ Division final, Chargers ‘B’ (41) lost to Bad Boys (87). In ‘D’ Division — Cup final, Royal Challengers (90) defeated Sirkars 8 (71) and in the Plate Finals, Seven Seas (92) won against Ever Green (82).
