Abu Dhabi all set for the grand party

abu dhabi — The Capital is ready to mark the end of the Ramadan month with an array of activities to welcome hundreds of tourists. As part of preparatio­ns, Abu Dhabi Municipali­ty is adorning the streets with thousands of flowers. Malls and towers are all ready to switch Ramadan Kareem lightings with Eid Mubarak.

Lighting up the sky will be Yas Marina fireworks from 9pm on Eid Al Fitr, that will be visible from the seven restaurant­s of Yas Marina as well as night boat cruises. Adventure lovers can enjoy free entry to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi from 6pm to 11am on June 26. Among the top shopping attraction­s is the 24-hour mega sale at Yas Mall from 10am on June 25.

Events at malls will see The Galleria host local artists and performers. An Ayyalah band will perform daily throughout Eid, highlighti­ng Emirati culture. Marina Mall visitors can enjoy a four-day entertainm­ent with Dora the explorer’s friendship fiesta and Dora’s rainforest maze. Those going to Al Wahda Mall can experience the Pirates of the Arabia, the floating tanoura and Arabic Dabke dance. Dalma Mall will hold live performanc­e of Alice in Wonderland and also have an interactiv­e kids’ arts corners, Lego City workshops and live traditiona­l tanoura dance shows.
