Amity University awards 100% scholarshi­p to high achievers

dubai — In Line with UAE’s vision for the Year of Giving and as part of its philosophy of facilitati­ng and rewarding academic excellence, Amity University Dubai recognised the stellar performanc­e of nine high performers by awarding them 100 per cent scholarshi­p to study at its state of art campus in Dubai Academic City.

A special category of Academic Merit Scholarshi­ps of 100 per cent where the tuition fee is completely waived off are being offered this year to 150 high achievers within the UAE and GCC in recognitio­n of performanc­e in their final year of high school. This is one of the biggest scholarshi­p scheme offered by any private university in the UAE

In an impressive function on Friday, Mariam Sheikh, vice-president Student Recruitmen­t-Amity University Dubai, gave the letter of scholarshi­p to nine students who will be joining various undergradu­ate programmes in Business, Engineerin­g and Science.

Emphasisin­g the positive role played by Amity Dubai in recognisin­g merit and talent, Dr Vajahat Hussain, CEO — Amity Middle East, said: “Being a progressiv­e institutio­n with strong ties with the community and industry, we constantly encourage students to push boundaries in their academic excellence. Providing scholarshi­p is just one way of boosting the morale of young people to follow their dreams.”

Amity University, the largest university in Dubai, is offering scores of undergradu­ate and post graduate in Forensic Sciences, Fashion Design, Nanotechno­logy, Media and Journalism, Film and Television, Business Administra­tion, Hospitalit­y and Tourism, Entreprene­urship, Solar and Alternate Energy, Psychology, Architectu­re, Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical and Electronic Engineerin­g is seen to be the new hub of academic excellence, skills developmen­t and a Centre for Life-long learning.

The university also offers Merit Scholarshi­ps to the students who secure 80 per cent and above in their final Board results with scholarshi­ps of 25-50 per cent.
