dubai — Students in the UAE who scored high in their International Baccalaureate (IB) exams last week will now be eligible for a grant towards their university studies.

This July, Middlesex University Dubai is rewarding prospective students who achieved outstanding results in their final IB exams through its IB School Results Grant.

Until July 15, qualifying IB students enrolling at Middlesex University Dubai will receive a grant of Dh5,000 towards their studies.

The IB School Results Grant is just one of a range of grants and scholarships offered by the university. Academic scholarships are awarded to those students who have achieved outstanding results across a range of international curriculums, including A-Levels and IB.

Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, director, Middlesex University Dubai, said these scholarships and grants are awarded as they encourage students to draw on their unique experiences to enhance the learning environment and experiences of themselves and their peers.

“At Middlesex University Dubai, we pride ourselves on delivering programmes which prepare our students to be professional, skilled individuals fitted for the modern world,” said Dr Fernandes. “Our IB School Results Grant is just one way we are rewarding and fostering the region’s academic talent. These grants recognise the hard work and commitment high achieving IB students have shown to their high school studies and will help on their journey to higher education.”

This summer, Middlesex University Dubai’s Knowledge Park campus will be open on Saturdays. Prospective and future students can visit the campus to find out more about its facilities and programmes. The enrolment office will also be open during this time to take new enrolments.
