Trump’s deals Trump promised he’d make many great deals that we’d all get “tired of winning.” He’s certainly left Americans feeling worn out, not because of any transactional whirlwind. Six months in, Trump can’t get legislation passed on anything bigger than naming a post office. He does deserve credit for one thing: His incompetence and bullying seem to have led his own party to begin making deals without him. Congress is showing signs of understanding what Trump clearly does not: that politics is not “The Art of the Deal,” but the art of the possible.
