Man held for raping minor

A 28-year-old man who raped a seven-year-old girl and left her to die near a slum here has been arrested -- 15 months later. The girl was victimised in May 2016 and left in the bushes after being hit on the head. Unknown to the criminal, the girl survived. “The victim was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi and recovered after a long time after undergoing multiple surgeries,” a senior police officer said. —
