A sleepless night

It was literally a sleepless night for Noorjahan and her family on Thursday. On Thursday afternoon, while talking to

Khaleej Times over phone from Kerala, she said she was thrilled and tensed about the journey and meeting her son. Set to take an early morning flight from the Calicut International Airport, immigration officials stopped her asking about the purpose of the visit. “I showed them all the paper cuttings on the news about Hani and said I am going to meet my son. But they didn’t trust me and tried to stop me.”

Noorjahan called her daughter; and calls were made to the airport by those who sponsored the visit visa. In the flight, she was “sleepless with mixed feelings”.
