Siemens, CIIHE sign MoU
ras al khaimah — In its ever continuing effort into delivering technical training, Siemens and Core International Institute for Higher Education (CIIHE), UAE, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 10th August 2017 at their Ras Al Khaimah campus.
The MoU was signed by Syed Mohammed Aumir, senior executive vice-president, Digital Factory Division, Middle East, Siemens and S.R. Velanand, director, Institutional Development, CIIHE. Later during the day state-ofthe-art “Centre for Professional Education in Mechatronics” was launched in the presence of delegates from the industry as well as faculty and staff members. Two faculty members Chetna Nagpal and Dr Prashanth were trained at Siemens Technical Academy, Berlin, Germany, to deliver quality training in the gambit of Mechatronics.
Birla Institute of Technology, off shore campus, RAK, UAE — facilitated by CIIHE, UAE, is the first private institution to partner with Siemens for Siemens Mechatronics System Certification Programme. This MoU will facilitate Siemens Mechatronic System Certified professional, a programme that would be closely associated with the diploma and the bachelors programmes of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics engineering.
The batch for working professionals commenced in August 2017 with classes only on Fridays.
