World’s top shooters for Sheikha Fatima International event
dubai — Top shooters like Simona Gliebute of Italy, Kathleen from USA and Olga Dovgun of Kazakstan will be in action on Saturday in the Sheikha Fatima International Women’s Shooting Championship being held in Rome.
On Saturday the skeet event will take place while on Sunday the trap event will be held.
“It is our pleasure that Italy has agreed to host the third edition of the championship,” said Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Women’s Shooting Championship.
The first edition of the competition was held in UAE and the second was staged in Egypt.
Al Raisi paid rich tribute to HH Sheikha Fatima, who is the chairperson of the General Union of Women and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and the Chairperson of the Supreme Council of Maternity and Childhood, for giving a platform for all women shooters in the world.
