According to the police and public prosecution investigation report, the accused and the victim worked for a cleaning company in Ajman. While drinking alcohol in their room, they got involved in a heated argument which led to a scuffle. The workers in the neighbouring accommodations tried to intervene to end the fight, though they did not know the cause behind the commotion.

The defendant admitted during the public prosecution’s investigation that he had deliberately killed the victim by stabbing him in his abdomen with a knife until he fell to the ground. He also admitted to drinking alcohol on the same day.
The forensic report issued after the examination of blood samples of the victim showed presence of alcohol was 221mg/100ml, which indicates that the deceased was drunk before his death. It also indicated that his death was caused by stabbing, which caused a tear in the internal organs and led to his instant death.
Based on the investigations and the confessions of the accused, the public prosecutor has charged the offender with firstdegree murder.
